Flagler County logs 84,410 minutes of reading

Flagler County Schools participated Jan. 25, in the Million Minute Marathon, the statewide Literacy Week activity.

During the activity, students all over the state read and logged their minutes. Flagler County logged a total of 84,410 minutes read.

Buddy Taylor Middle School led the district with the most minutes read, at 21,758 with 946 students participating. Bunnell Elementary and Wadsworth Elementary weren’t far behind, with 1,9625 and 1,8340 minutes read, respectively.

Old Kings Elementary students logged the least amount of time, at 1,597 minutes read by 140 students.

Belle Terre Elementary was just ahead of them with 3,570 minutes read by 238 students. Rymfire Elementary reported 8,840 minutes read, and Indian Trails Middle reported 10,680 minutes.

Flagler Palm Coast and Matanzas high schools didn't participate.
