Joseph A. Hanzel Sr., of Tanglewood Court, will turn 95 on Jan. 25.
He was born in 1917, in New York City. Hanzel served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years and retired as a warrant officer.
He has been married to his wife, Elizabeth, his first and last blind date, for 73 years. Hanzel has one child — Skipper Hanzel, who also resides in Palm Coast — three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
