This Weekend: Hammock Artists at the Gardens

Hammock Gardens Nursery and Landscaping will host Artist at the Gardens 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26, at 5208 N. Oceanshore Blvd.

The celebration will include local artists who will display and sell their work in various mediums including oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, pastels, fiber art, wood, sculpture, photography and mixed media.

A percentage of sales in the garden center and from the artists will be donated to the Stuart F. Mayer Hospice House.

Rainout dates for the event are Saturday, March 3 and Sunday. March 4.

Other events this weekend are:
Dinner and Show—5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at the VFW, 47 Old Kings Road. Tim Rippey will provide entertainment. Tickets are $15. Dinner is served at 5 p.m., show starts at 7:15 p.m. Call 446-8696.

Flagler Fun Follies—6:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, 1520 S. Daytona Ave., Flagler Beach. Admission is $5 and covers a two-hour show, refreshments and door prizes. Proceeds will be used to pay expenses of the church's annual Easter New Life Celebration. Call 439-2160.

Hammock A1A Cleanup—8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Hammock Community Center, 79 Malacompra Road. Volunteers are needed and will be provided bags and gloves. Call 446-7493

W.H.A.T. Workshp: Human Trafficking—10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 900 Daytona Ave., Flagler Beach. Registration opens at 9 a.m. Free event, lunch is provided. Email [email protected] or call 986-3146.
