+ Home Care Pharmacy of Palm Coast wins cruise from manufacturer
Richard Golden, CEO of Golden Technologies, a scooter, seat-lift and wheelchair manufacturer, recently named Home Care Pharmacy of Palm Coast as the winner of the company’s annual cruise drawing.

Home Care Pharmacy was selected from Golden’s Flagship Dealer Showroom program, comprising dealers in highest standing, and won a $1,500 Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines certificate.

Golden Technologies Director of Merchandising Piera Marotto came to Palm Coast to present Home Care Pharmacy’s Dr. Corgan with the certificate.

“We called ourselves the Prize Patrol and walked right into the store with balloons and making noise to hype up the excitement of the prize presentation,” said Marotto.

Corgan said he will be taking his wife, Carol, with him on his vacation, probably to the Caribbean. Home Care Pharmacy has been in business in Palm Coast since 1987.

SOLD!
+ CVS store sells for $7.4 million
The CVS Pharmacy at 1 Old Kings Road was recently sold to Texas-based investing firms The Landes Group and Lovasz Investments, for $7.4 million.

The deal was what CVS Public Relations Director Mike DeAngelis calls a “lease-back” sale, which means the property is sold with the stipulation that it will be leased back to CVS, in order for the company to continue operations.

“This is a very common real estate practice for us,” he said, “as we prefer not to own the properties where our stores are located.”

In fact, 97% of the CVS’s total properties operate on long-term lease agreements.
