 + Pink Army receives $110,00 donation
Kangaroo Express donated $110,000 Friday to support the Florida Hospital Pink Army campaign, which provides women in need with mammograms, ultrasounds and other services.

The funds were raised entirely by customers’ donations at the Kangaroo Express registers throughout October. During the month, 85 Kangaroo Express stores within Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Orange, Putnam, Seminole and Volusia counties hosted collections at the registers for the community members to donate to the Florida Hospital Pink Army.

The funds were divided between the Florida Hospital campuses. Florida Hospital Flagler received about $37,000.

 

+ Weichert, Realtors — Hallmark announces grads
Steve Pilchick, president/broker/owner of central Florida’s 17-office WEICHERT, REALTORS — Hallmark Properties, has announced that Kathleen Bourke, an assistant manager in the Palm Coast office, has graduated from the four-day Weichert Management Academy, in New Jersey.

The concentrated program emphasizes recruiting, training and career development, systems installation and business planning.

+ Grand Haven helps local children in need
Palm Coast’s Grand Haven community raised more than $1,000 and collected a box full of toys for this year’s Project Share, an outreach run by the Flagler Beach Rotary Club. The box of toys includes 10 bicycles.

To raise the money, five homeowners opened their homes to the community for tours on Dec. 4-5.

Admission was a $5 donation for Project Share. The community plans to host a holiday home tour each year to raise money for the cause.

Howard McGaffney, group director for Amenity Management, is presenting the toys and money to Roseanne Stocker, chairwoman of Project Share, Dec. 15.

+ Hammock Beach Resort offers $12 meals
To commemorate the 12th month of 2012, Hammock Beach Resort’s restauarant, Atlantic Grille, is serving a special menu made of $12 meals. Options include Atlantic Thai bangers and lobster corn dogs. They will be available until Dec. 16. Call 770-6501 or visit www.hammockbeach.com.
