The woman who crashed into the Palm Coast Publix April 14 was found guilty of careless driving.

Palm Coast resident Thelma Wagenhoffer, 76, drove her Toyota Camry through the exit doors of the grocery store, injuring 10 people. Wagenhoffer was not injured in the crash.

Wagenhoffer plead no contest to the careless driving charge. On Aug. 16, County Judge Sharon B. Atack issued Wagenhoffer a $500 fine and ordered that her driver’s license be suspended for three months, the longest amount allowed under law. Atack also ordered that Wagenhoffer must pass both written and driving tests if she decides to reinstate her driver’s license after the suspension period, according to court documents.
