Marshcka, Wilkes tie the knot at New Way Christian

Brittany Leigh Wilkes, daughter of Jimmy Wilkes and Patty and Joe Martino, married Jeremiah Joseph Marschka, son of Theresa and the late Jim Marschka, March 31, at New Way Christian Fellowship.

The two met through church in December 2010 and went on their first date in March 2011. Six months later, Jeremiah returned home early from military training in South Carolina to surprise Brittany for a dinner on the Intracoastal Waterway.

He waited for her, roses in hand, on the dock of the restaurant to show up with her friends.

“I knelt down there over the water and asked her to marry me in front of the whole restaurant,” he said. “Not my intentions, but kind of how the evening went. Well, she said yes, and we couldn’t possibly be happier. God is good.”
