Preferred Management Services, ReMax Oceanside and Commercial World Inc. have joined forces in Flagler County.

Lea Stokes, of Preferred Management Services, Donna Tofal, of ReMax Oceanside and Rob Robinson, of Commercial World Inc., have merged their businesses in Flagler Beach.

The joint company will now conduct business under ReMax Oceanside for real estate leasing and sales, and under Preferred Management Services for property and association management.

Commercial World Inc. has closed its 1 Hargrove Grade facility and moved into ReMax, at 2561 State Road 100. Preferred Management will remain in its current offices, at 411 S. Central Ave.

“We all recognize that we certainly have a (real estate) downturn, but we believe that things are happening,” Stokes said. “We felt like if we were ever going to move in this direction (this was the time to do it).”

Stokes also hopes to gain exposure by working with ReMax, a company with offices in 87 countries.

“Our goal is to continue our successful track record and diversify,” she added. “We bring a lot of expertise to the table.”

Created in 1995, Preferred Management Services has 13 employees and a portfolio of 4,000 units and 15 commercial parks in Flagler, St. Johns and Volusia counties.

Rob Robinson has owned commercial real estate companies since 1994.

“It’s just really positive energy,” Stokes added. “Things seem to be settling down and taking an upswing. … And we can kind of be a one-stop shop for anyone in Flagler County. We’re just really excited about it.”
