+ Chamber 2012 phone book wins national honors
The 2012 Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates Phone Book recently won top national honors from the Association of Directory Publishers, for its cover design.

The award, for excellence in cover design and art in the print category, was presented in March, at ADP’s annual convention in Texas.

The 2012 phone book also tied for third place overall in the “Excellence in Print Directories” categories, for publications with distribution between 25,001 and 50,000 copies.

+ Smith made partner at Flagler Dental Associates
Flagler Dental Associates, located at 30 Office Park Drive, has announced the addition of Dr. Ryan T. Smith to its practice.

Smith was born in Florida and graduated from the University of Florida, where he was then one of only five students in the country accepted into the Masters of Biomedical Science Dental program at Nova Southeastern University.

Sleep Inn, at 10 Kingswood Drive, has hired two new team members: Nick Patel, as front-desk manager, and Issa Muhtadi, as shift leader.

+ Jiu-Jitsu master Relson Gracie holds session
FightScience Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, located at 2517 State Road 100, hosted the creator of Gracie/Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Master Relson Gracie, at its Flagler Beach studio, March 26.

Gracie also held a kids “Bullyproof” seminar the same day.

+ ReMax Flagstaff agent earns annual sales award
Gail Downs, ReMax Flagstaff agent, has qualified for the ReMax 100% Club Award for 2011 reserved for agents who have earned at least $100,000 in commissions in the past year.

In 2011, only 18% of all ReMax affiliates earned this award.

+ Windsor to raise money for no-kill animal shelter
The Windsor of Palm Coast, at 50 Town Court, will hold a fundraiser 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 for a no-kill animal shelter in Daytona Beach, called the ARNI Foundation. Raffles will be sold, as well as baskets and gift certificates to local stores. Pet food, treats, bedding and bones are also being accepted for donation.
