The Rotary Club of Flagler Beach is organizing a book drive for Bunnell Elementary School and is in need of book donations.

So far, the group has collected between 800 and 1,000 books, and are in need of 400 more.

“By Friday, June 1, we need 1,200 books, or we won’t be able to donate any books,” said organizer Tom Gillin. “If we can’t provide every elementary school student with a book, we will have to cancel the giveaway.”

To help the Rotary reach its goal, drop off new or gently used elementary school age books at the Flagler Beach City Hall, 105 S. Second St., Flagler Beach.

Books will also be accepted during the city’s First Friday events in April and May, at City Hall.

For more information, call Gillin at 517-2000.
