Happy 60th anniversary

James and Elva Lee, of Palm Coast, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary April 12. They met in 1949, at Brown Memorial Baptist Church, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and were married in 1952, at Burtwood Air Force Base, in England.

James served 29 years in the New York City Fire Department, and Elva worked 16 years at the New York City Department of Health. They retired in 1989, to Palm Coast.

The Lees have four children, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
