David Lloyd Rocky, 67, of Palm Coast, was killed in a crash at 8:16 a.m. Sept. 26, at U.S. 1 and Plantation Bay Road. He was wearing a helmet.

Jula Ann Tucker, 57, of Ormond Beach, was traveling westbound on Plantation Bay Road and came to a stop at the intersection, according to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol. Rocky was traveling northbound on U.S. 1.

The report states that Tucker, who was driving a 2011 Nissan XTerra, failed to yield to Rocky on his 2000 Honda motorcycle. Tucker attempted to turn left onto southbound U.S. 1, at which time Rocky’s motorcycle struck Tucker’s driver-side door.

Rocky was thrown from the bike and came to a rest in the northbound inside travel lane. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Charges are pending.

Tucker was transported to Halifax Hospital with serious injuries, according to the report. Her vehicle was estimated to have sustained $10,000 in damges.
