Jets waive Mardy Gilyard

Mardy Gilyard is without work — again.

Gilyard, the 2005 FPC graduate, was waived Saturday morning by the New York Jets, marking the second time in a one-week span for the wide receiver.

Thursday afternoon, Gilyard posted a picture to his Facebook page of his new locker, drawing plenty of comments from friends, fan, and family about being back in white and green, the same colors he wore while at FPC.

However, on his Twitter page Friday afternoon, Gilyard tweeted: “On such a mental roller- coaster right now smh.......#” SMH is an acronym for “shaking my head.”

The transaction didn’t process until Saturday morning.
