Looking for a safe alternative to house-to-house trick-or-treating? Flagler County is full of family friendly opportunities to dress up and get candy by walking trunk-to-trunk in the parking lots of several churches. The trunk-or-treating festivities begin Saturday, Oct. 29, and continue through Monday, Oct. 31.


• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2323 N. State St., Bunnell. Games, costume contest, cookie decorating, prizes and raffles. Call 627-5696.
 

• 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 N. Palmetto St., Bunnell. Call 864-0268.
 

• 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway. Food and drink concessions benefit youth programs. Face painting, bobbing for apples, a costume contest and pumpkin decorating. Call 446-2300, Ext. 24.
 

• 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, 1520 S. Daytona Ave., Flagler Beach. Trunk decorating begins 4:30 p.m. Call 439-2160.
 

• 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway. Admission is a donation of non-perishable food items for the Bunnell Food Resource Center. Call 445-1600.

Florida’s Haunted Trails — 6-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, at The Florida Agricultural Museum, 900 Old Kings Road N. There will be wagon rides, haunted houses, story tellers, carnival games for kids, headless horsemen, magic shows, face painting, a singing pumpkin show, food and drinks. Admission is $8, kids under 5 free. Call 446-7630.

Talking With… — 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at The Hollingsworth Gallery, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite B207. Presented by the City Repertory Theatre, the play portrays eleven vivid characters that include a bizarre combination of snake handlers, rodeo queens, twirlers, and bag ladies, among others. Annual Bazaar, Chinese Auction, Raffle & Bake Sale — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Oct. 30, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway. Variety of homemade crafts, baked goods and holiday items are available for purchase. Call 446-9065.

Fish Fry — 12-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway. Donation is $12.00. Fried fish, rice and peas, cole slaw, hush puppies and dessert. Call 446-2300.

Spooktacular — 1:30-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Parkway N.W. Kareoke/Dance program featuring games and "Music Magic" by DJ Jay and Ms. Candy. Costumes optional. Call 446-6763.

Monster Mash Gala — 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Palm Coast Yacht Club, 1 Yacht Club Drive. The Flagler County Free Clinic will host their second annual gala with cash bar, DJ and hors d’oeuvres. Costumes optional but encouraged. Tickets are $75. Call 585-4484.

Hall of Terror X — 6-11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, and Monday, Oct. 31, at Palm Coast Fire Station #21, 9 Corporate Drive. Admission is free. Call 986-2302.
