FHF and Kiwanis team up for safety day

The line to be fitted for bike helmets wrapped around the tent Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Family Fun and Safety Day, presented by Florida Hospital Flagler, Flagler Parent Magazine, Kiwanis Club of Flagler County, Flagler County Education Foundation and the city of Palm Coast.

“It’s a great opportunity to bring the community out and showcase the emergency personnel and to get to know the hospital better,” said John Subers, Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation director.

The Kiwanis Club of Flagler County has been involved in helmet safety for the past five years and partnered with the hospital for the event for the first time this year.

About 200 helmets were distributed.
