+ Team Logic IT unveils ‘office in a box’ product
At Palm Coast’s Business-to-Business Expo, Team Logic IT presented its latest product, Cisco’s Unified Communications 500, a system company President Lance Hoskins calls an “office in a box.”

Hoskins said he spent the past year researching the system and understanding how it works before introducing it through Team Logic.

The UC500 is like the brain to a company’s communications interface, he said, connecting its security, data, video and phone capabilities in one place, eliminating the need for multiple servers and networks.

“This is the way that a small business should open,” Hoskins said.

+ Bed & Mattress Palace moves into Flagler Square
After 10 years of business in St. Joe Plaza, Bed & Mattress Palace, owned by Jim and Trix Simmons, has reopened in Flagler Square. The Simmonses, who ran their mattress store at St. Joe from December 1998 to December 2008, closed shop to move to Delaware and be closer to family. After enduring two blizzards in about two years, though, they got homesick. The couple reopened their Florida business Sept. 1.

“It’s what we enjoy doing,” Trix Simmons said of running a bed/mattress retailer for almost 15 years. “We’ve just been doing it so long … We try to do a no-gimmicks approach … and do whatever it takes to make the customer happy, really.”

Deals and coupons can be found on the company’s website, www.BedAndMattress.com. Call 439-9202.

+ Florida Hospital Memorial Home Health named one of 2011 HomeCare Elite
Florida Hospital Memorial Home Health has been named to the 2011 HomeCare Elite, a group of top-performing, home-health agencies in the United States.

Now in its sixth year, HomeCare Elite identifies the Top 25% of industry leaders and further highlights the Top 100 and Top 500 agencies overall.

The 2011 HomeCare Elite is the only performance recognition of its kind in the home health industry. It is sponsored by OCS HomeCare, a provider of homecare information, and DecisionHealth, newsletter publisher.

“The HomeCare Elite designation continues to gain significance, given the regulatory changes and challenges that agencies face,” said Marci Heydt, product manager DecisionHealth.

Heydt continued: “Agencies that have earned recognition among the HomeCare Elite demonstrated that they not only can adapt to an evolving marketplace but continue to excel in both clinical and financial outcomes.”
