At the Oct. 17 county commission meeting, the board unanimously approved a $96,928 contract with Professional Service Industries Inc., to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection services for replacement of a bridge on Princess Place Road, over Styles Creek.

The board approved a design/build contract with Bunnell-based S.E. Cline Construction for the project two months ago.

The bridge will be wood-covered with coquina rock siding and pine shakes — “similar to a lodge,” County Administrator Craig Coffey explained.

The project will be funded through reimbursable grant dollars.

*The funds for bridge services are reimbursable to Flagler County through the Federal “Stimulus” America Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 Local Agency Program agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation, dated Sept. 24, 2010.
