Grants to bolster Flagler County Airport

The Flagler County Airport could soon be the beneficiary of hundreds of thousands of dollars in federal and state grants.

The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners, at its 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, meeting, will discuss several items relating to airport projects, including the following:

- Design and construction of an automated weather observation station
- Design of the relocation and extension of Runway 11-29
- Design of an aircraft parking apron

The board will also recognize Mary DiStefano as the 2011 Flagler Business Women's Organization's Woman of the Year.

In addition, Nov. 2 will be proclaimed Flagler Auditorium Day, to celebrate 20 years of the Flagler Auditorium.

The board meeting is at the Government Services Building, 1769 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell.
