In order to expand participation in the Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, a membership drive competition was held Sept. 6 to Sept. 16. Two teams were formed, each consisting of representatives from 20 local businesses. The winning team, captained by Gaylee Tillotson of Top Shelf Storage and Penske Palm Coast, competed as “The Chamber Shotz,” and brought in 33 new members.

“The Bored Members,” captained by Dave Fowler of Alliance Financial Services, came in second, with 25 new members.

As the winning team, Chamber Shotz won a Golden Lion Café cocktail party. Tillotson, who was the individual to register the most new members, with nine, won a two-night stay at the Reunion Resort in Orlando, donated by the Hammock Beach Resort.

A drawing will also be held at the next chamber After Hours event for all existing members who solicited new membership.
