+ Leadership positions change at Cline Construction
S.E. Cline Construction Inc. Site Developers and Marine Engineers and Constructors of Palm Coast has announced the promotion of Scott Sowers to corporate president. Stowers, a 15-year company veteran, was previously vice president and director of land development. He’s also the chairman of the Bunnell Chamber of Commerce.

Sam Cline, the company founder and former president, will now be made CEO.

C.M. Cameron, an 11-year company veteran, was promoted to senior vice president and director of marine operations. Cameron is assisted by Luanne Waters, head of administrative support, Jason Gagliardi and Jason Forrester. Also, G. Faye Cameron will continue as new-business developer.

James Humphries will continue as vice president and director of engineering.

Cyriacus Alcindor, current CFO and corporate secretary, will become treasurer, assisted by Theresa Jacobs and Sarah Fraser.

Daniel Paton, a 15-year veteran, was also recognized, as land development chief estimator. Jackson Sampsells was recognized as site development project manager.

+ ReMax Oceanside wins two J.D. Powers awards
ReMax Oceanside of Flagler Beach recently took home two honors from J.D. Powers & Associates, for “Highest Overall Satisfaction for Home Sellers and Home Buyers Among National Full Service Real Estate Firms.”

The company’s home buyer/seller study was based on 3,861 evaluations and eight firms, measuring the opinions of individuals who purchased homes between March 2010 and April 2011.

+ Flagler Realtors raise $2,000 for fellow agent
Real estate agents from the Flagler Board of Realtors held a fundraiser, Sept 17, for Darlene Chechilo.

Spearheaded by Tristan Simon of Realty Exchange, at 800 Belle Terre Parkway, more than 20 agents threw a yard sale and barbecue to raise $2,000 for Checilo, to aid in her battle against breast and ovarian cancer.

+ Pfleger joins Western & Southern Life and Financial
Western & Southern Life and Financial Group welcomed Anthony Pfleger Sept. 26 as a sales rep.

“I am anxious to get out into our community,” Pfleger said. He will serve all of Palm Coast and the surrounding areas of Flagler and northern Volusia counties.

A seven-year family service counselor for Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Pfleger witnessed an “alarming” number of un- or underinsured residents.

“I felt that a career in helping people protect themselves would be a perfect fit and a great manner to stay connected to the community,” he said.

Pfleger’s office is located in Daytona Beach, but a majority of his work will be conducted from his home office.
