Taylor Andrew Botts, 18, was stopped Nov. 18 for going 70 in a 45 mph zone near Buddy Taylor Middle School. But there was more than his registration in his glove box.
When the deputy checked Botts’ license, he discovered it was suspended. When asked for his registration, Botts opened the glove box, and the deputy noticed a clear plastic baggie with a green leafy substance in it.
Botts quickly shut the glove box, but the deputy instructed him to open it again, according to the arrest report.
A total of 37 grams was discovered, in addition to a digital scale, two boxes of sandwich baggies and rolling papers. Botts admitted he bought the marijuana for $400 and was intending to sell it.
Botts, of 3 Winterberry Place, was arrested, but he is currently out on bond.
