A West wedding in the gardens

Victoria Morgan, daughter of James and Elina Morgan, of Ormond Beach, married Jacob West, son of James and Carol West, of Flagler Beach, Nov. 6, at Tavern and Chapel in the Gardens, in Port Orange.

The lovebirds met when Victoria was asked to sing at a friend’s church. Jacob was working the sound booth that night. The next week, he nervously fidgeted with his phone and asked for her number.

In May, Jacob planned a photo shoot and, in the middle of it, he picked up a ring from the grass and proposed.

“The ceremony was at a gazebo in the gardens, where the sun peeked out just as I started walking down the aisle,” the new Mrs. West said. “I married my best friend that day, and we couldn’t be happier.”
