The Flagler County Association of Realtors will host its eighth-annual poker run to benefit Flagler’s Habitat for Humanity Saturday, Nov. 19, featuring celebrity riders Frank and Tracy from WHOG.

The 107-mile run will begin at the FCAR building 9 a.m. Saturday Nov. 19, and end at the White Eagle in Korona off U.S.1.

Participation is $20 per person and includes a poker hand and food ticket. There will also be live music by Southbound, a charity car wash and a free t-shirt to the first 200 riders registered.

All proceeds will benefit Flagler’s Habitat for Humanity.

During the run, participants will visit five checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best (and worst) poker hands at the end of the run. Prizes will be awarded to the riders with the best hand ($200), second best ($100) and worst hand ($50).

FCAR officials specify that the poker run is not only for motorcycle riders — all are welcome.

“Our goal is to raise funds to help get Flagler residents and their families in homes as quickly as possible,” said John Rogell, event organizer. “Everyone always asks me; what is a poker run? Basically it's an excuse to get out, ride, have some fun and support Habitat for Humanity.”

The ride will begin Bunnell, run through State Road A1A, to the LOOP, to Beach Street, to Boothill Salon, Pirana Grille, Iron Horse, Saints Sinners and, finally, the White Eagle.

To register, call 527-8884, or email [email protected]. Or find the run on Facebook, HERE.
