The Flagler County School Board will hold a public hearing 5 to 6:30 p.m. tonight, Nov. 15, at the Flagler Auditorium, to hear citizen and student input on a mandatory school uniforms policy.
The board’s regularly scheduled meeting will be held immediately following the town-hall meeting.
Tonight’s hearing was planned after the board received results on a parent survey measuring support for a mandatory school uniforms policy Nov. 1. The results showed 64% of parents in favor of the policy, and 70.6% of staff in favor (READ THE FULL STORY HERE).
Only 48% of staff support district-wide uniforms for themselves, however, a figure board member John Fischer called “disturbing.”
