There will be no recount for the Palm Coast City Council elections, according to officials.

Palm Coast City Clerk Virginia Smith confirmed Wednesday that the 5,813 votes cast in the Nov. 8 City Council elections will not be recounted.

“There will not be a recount, according to City Attorney (Bill Reischmann),” Smith said.

One scenario that would require a recount would be if a race was decided by less than 0.5%. The District 1 race between Bill McGuire and Holsey Moorman was decided by 0.9%. The District 3 race between Jason DeLoreno and Dennis Cross was decided by 0.6%.

Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Kimberle Weeks confirmed the city’s decision Wednesday in an email.

McGuire and DeLorenzo won their respective races.
