Destiny & Slim benefit starts tomorrow, at McCharacters

McCharacters Music Cafe & Sports Bar will begin hosting its “Destiny & Slim Never Ending Love Benefit” Thursday, Nov. 10, at 215 St. Joe Plaza. The event will run through Friday, Nov. 11.

All proceeds will benefit the owners of McCharacters’ daughter, Destiny McCarrick, and her boyfriend Mike Stevens, both of whom suffered leg amputations following a recent motorcycle accident in Sturgis, South Dakota (read the story HERE). Funds will also benefit the couple’s long-term goal of forming an amputee/prosthetics foundation.

The date of the event, which coincides with the Marine Corps birthday, was chosen by Stevens, a former marine.
