CORRECTED VERSION:
Martin Elieser Sanchez Rios was arrested May 20 at the shopping center on Flagler Plaza Drive, after he was asked to leave. The owner reported a vulgar outburst, and a deputy responded.

The deputy noticed a smell of alcohol on Sanchez Rios, as he is identified in the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office report. He was asked to leave, and he became aggressive, the report says. He refused to put his hands behind his back.

Sanchez Rios was brought to the Flagler County Inmate Facility for booking, and he became combative, resisting deputies’ efforts to process him at the jail.

According to the report, “Sanchez urinated on the floor and then spit in the face of (a deputy), on the left side of his face in the cheek area.

“Due to the combative behavior, a determination was made to place Sanchez Rios in the Pro Straint Chair, at which time Sanchez Rios bit (a sergeant) on the right forearm — all of which were against the will of the sergeant and deputy.”

Sanchez Rios was charged with two misdemeanors: disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence.
