+ Healthy Smiles to cut ribbon
One of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce’s newest members, Healthy Smiles Dental, will hold an official grand opening ribbon cutting 4 p.m., Thursday, March 31.

+ Chamber reports to Summit group
Government representatives, officials and businesspeople met for a focus group Monday, March 14, at the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, as a follow-up to the recent Economic Summit.
The 30-person meeting was developed to “hone in on ways to improve customer service between stakeholders, government and businesses,” according to a chamber report.
Participants engaged in a roundtable discussion, including a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis and concluded the session with agreement on the next steps.
“One of the most important outcomes (of the Summit),” said Lea Stokes, chair of the Flagler County Chamber, “was the creation of a task force to facilitate improved communication and customer service … It is important for the chamber to lead the way in 2011.”
A survey will be distributed by the chamber to assess the effectiveness of the first session, and to set priorities for follow-ups.
