+ Ice cream shop Scoops Café relocates, gives back
Scoops Café, formerly at 227A St. Joe Plaza, has reopened in the old U-Need-A-Bagel storefront, at 1475 Palm Coast Parkway, Unit 102.
Scoops’ fully renovated new digs are larger — 1,250 total square feet, including kitchen — allowing the shop to add pastries and other baked goods to its menu in the future. Now, it sells bagels and ice cream.
Scoops has been around for about 15 years, but under the ownership of the Tsistinas family for 1.5 years.
The shop hosts monthly fundraising promotions for the Imagine School — which the Tsistinas’ two children attend — with plans for weekly fundraisers for other Flagler schools in the works, as well.
Scoops is on the Indian Trails Mustang Card.
+ Flagler Fish Co. expands outdoor dining with awning
The Flagler Fish Co. has completed an awning and enclosure expansion of its pet-friendly tropical patio.
“The canvas awning gives shade to the outdoor tables, while still catching the sea breezes all day long,” owner Chris Casper said.
The Flagler Fish Co. will celebrate its six-year anniversary in the fall and is located at 180 S. Daytona Ave., Flagler Beach. Call 439-0000.
+ Crown Jewel Cigar Bar and Lounge opens
M. Misti Cigar Co. has announced the opening of its Crown Jewel Cigar Bar and Lounge, a five-time winner of the Four Diamond award.

+ Al Tetrault joins the Florida Bar organization
The Florida Bar welcomed a new member, Al Tetrault, to its organization, to practice elder, wills, trusts, probate, real estate, business and tax law in Flagler and surrounding counties.
Tetrault is an ex-Air Force commander and graduate of the Florida Coastal School of Law. He has also studied at the London Business School, and in Switzerland.
The former CEO of several companies, including a publicly traded technology firm, he was also in senior management with Fortune 500 companies in the computer industry and independent consulting. As an adjunct professor at Flagler College, he teaches business courses, as well.

+ Marineland Marina hosts grand opening celebration
The town of Marineland has opened port with a new marina facility, creating a destination for boaters on the Intracoastal Waterway between Daytona Beach, and St. Augustine.
Surrounded by 40,000 acres of beaches, forests and coastal habitats, the Town of Marineland Marina, according to staff, shows off “the quiet side of Florida.”
Although the new marina is currently open for business, a grand opening will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, with a ribbon-cutting at 2:30 p.m., followed by live bands, food and beverages from JT’s Seafood Shack and a raffle. Winners could bring home free dockage for a month.
Vessels up to 25 feet are encouraged to take advantage of the marina’s floating docks free of charge on a first come, first served basis throughout the event. Reservations are required for larger vessels.
