Receiving mail from home can be a lifesaver for active duty military.

Flagler County Detachment 876, of the Marine Corps League, is doing its part to ensure that Marines on the battlefield receive mail addressed specifically to them while overseas.

Marine Mail started in 2009, and the detachment has sent 54 boxes to date.

The program is looking for additional people to send boxes to. If you know any deployed Marines or Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen in Flagler County, call 437-2587.
