+ Mayor visits Imagine School second-graders
Second-grade students at Imagine School at Town Center asked the tough questions Nov. 28, when they were visited by Palm Coast Mayor Jon Netts.

“We were so excited,” said teacher Victoria Mayhew. “As we raise the leaders of tomorrow today, the students need good role models. It is also important for our students to recognize that our city doesn’t run on its own and that even our city has rules and procedures, just like our classrooms.”

+ Old Kings Elementary students ‘stomp’ to the music
Music students at Old Kings Elementary School shared their talents Thursday, Dec. 1, at their fall concert.

In addition to the traditional singing and signing done by the kindergarten through fourth-grade students, fifth- and sixth-graders performed “Stomp,” a performance adapted from the Broadway hit by the same name, which involved unique forms of percussion.

“Concerts like this are only possible because of supportive parents,” music teacher Rodney Harshbarger wrote in the program. “It has been a wonderful school year, and I am very proud of the progress the students have made.”

+ Flagler Palm Coast student wins logo design contest
