+ Bunnell woman killed in explosion after collision
Theresa M. Woodfin, 28, was killed just after noon, Nov. 25, when a lumber-hauling semi-truck rear-ended her, causing her Buick to “immediately explode into flames,” according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Woodfin, of Bunnell, was waiting to make a left turn off State Road 100 and onto County Road 2005.

The semi-truck, a 1999 Peterbuilt driven by Ralph A. Schrock, 51, of Satsuma, failed to stop before hitting Woodfin’s 1992 Buick.

The Buick was pushed into the oncoming traffic lane, where it collided with a 2011 Dodge Journey driven by Timothy J. Reese, 31, of Palatka. Reese was traveling eastbound on State Road 100.

Woodfin was killed. Schrock had no injuries. Reese had minor injuries.

No alcohol was involved in the crash, and all three drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

As a result of the collision, Schrock’s lumber cargo spilled across both lanes.
