+ Bosch re-elected president of Flagler County bar
William J. Bosch, of Palm Coast law firm Connor Bosch Law PA, has been re-elected as president of the Flagler County Bar Association, a judge/lawyer nonprofit.
Bosch primarily practices family, landlord/tenant and civil law. He has been a lawyer for 27 years, and serves as the special magistrate for the city of Flagler Beach Code Enforcement, as well as a hearing officer for the city of Orlando. He has served on Bunnell’s advisory board since its inception, in 2006.

+ Florida Hospital hospice forms foundation
In light of Florida Hospital HospiceCare’s recent expansion into Orange and Osceola counties, Florida Hospital Flagler has announced the official formation of the Florida Hospital HospiceCare Foundation, which will extend beyond the reach of the established Florida Hospital Flagler Foundation.
Initially, the foundation will be led by current general foundation board members; but recruiting has begun for members who are a part of HospiceCare’s new expanded service area. Contact John Subers, administrative director, at 586-4216.
+ Marlin Consulting donates to children’s clinic
Web-based marketing firm Marlin Consulting Solutions recently donated door alarms to the Sunshine Foundation Dream Village, a private clinic for abused and chronically ill children, located in Davenport.
Sunshine Foundation’s founder, Bill Sample, an ex-police officer and soldier, established his foundation in 1976. The Dream Village, a 22-acre resort, was opened in 1990 as a children’s retreat. Visit www.marlincs.com.

+ Grand Haven: 2011 sales results indicate recovery
Grand Haven Realty has announced its sales results for the first half of 2011, showing activity on pace with the same period in 2010.
“While the numbers are not at the record of the boom years … they do clearly indicate Grand Haven bottomed out some time in late 2009 or early 2010, and has since been on a path to recovery,” said Jim Cullis, company president.
The average price of existing homes sold in the first half of 2011 are higher than during the same period in 2010, broker Sterling Colee said.
The total number of properties sold through June 2011 was 49. The average sales price for existing homes increased from $291,465 to $318,575 during that same period.
Colee said Grand Haven builders are also seeing increasing numbers of prospects interested in new home construction. The builders have written eight custom home contracts in the first half of 2011. Olsen Custom Homes was also recently selected to build the showcase home for the 2012 Flagler Parade of Homes, which will be constructed in the Grand Haven neighborhood of Wild Oaks Estates.

+ Federal Trust to close six branches, lay off 70
Sanford-based Federal Trust Bank has announced that it will close six of its 11 offices and lay off 70 employees Nov. 1.
The branches to be closed are located in Palm Coast, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Seminole County, Deltona and Eustis. Locations remaining open are in Sanford, Winter Park, Orange City, Port Orange and New Smyrna Beach.
The closings are part of the company’s sale agreement announced in May, when Federal Trust was acquired by Winter Haven-based CenterState Banks Inc., the holding company for CenterState Bank of Florida.
+ ACI to integrate new platform for Fannie Mae
ACI, a mortgage valuation company in Palm Coast, has announced that its Appraisal.com website is integrating as a delivery platform to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal, a platform for the electronic submission of appraisal data files for loans sold to Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
With 20 years in the industry, ACI’s appraisal delivery technology will be used by the largest appraisal firms in the country.
