+ Flagler County achieves AP District Honor Roll
Flagler County Public Schools were recently placed on the the National Advanced Placement Honor Roll list.

The AP achievement designation means that the Flagler County School District increased the number of students typically under-represented in AP courses while also improving scores.

“These districts are defying expectations by expanding access while improving scores,” said College Board President Gaston Caperton. “They are experimenting with initiatives and strategies that have driven increases in average exam scores when making AP available to a much broader and more diverse student population.”

+ Heritage students collect supplies for the animals
Throughout May, the Volunteer Community Service Class at Heritage Academy will be collecting pet supplies to support the Flagler County Humane Society.

In celebration of Pet Appreciation Month, 14 Heritage students have made it their goal to collect at least 200 bags of cat and dog food to help out the shelter. The students are also collecting collars, leashes, toys, treats, pet soap, blankets and towels.
