The Young Professionals Group of Flagler County has operated independently as part of a mentoring arrangement with the Daytona Beach Young Professionals Group for the last three years.

According to organization chairwoman Harmony Henry, the group’s membership and presence has grown significantly in that timeframe.

“To continue this positive momentum, our board agreed that affiliating with the Flagler County Chamber would take the YPG to the next level,” she said.

The new arrangement was unanimously adopted by the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, given the potential value YPG will add to the organization as a whole.

Lea Stokes, chair of the Flagler Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates, was in full support.

“From the Chamber’s perspective, attracting and retaining these talented individuals is critical to Flagler County’s long‐term viability,” Stokes said.

The Chamber will support the YPG in administrative and marketing efforts, and will also give the YPG a seat on the Chamber’s board of directors.

The YPG of Flagler County is a group of young professionals dedicated to giving back to the community, networking and building personal and professional contacts through monthly socials, sports team affiliations, fundraisers and more.
