The Palm Coast City Council’s focus for economic development (Prosperity 2021) is to help the neighborhoods to become more stable and attractive to residents and, therefore, more attractive to future business owners.

At the next workshop, the City Council will discuss three plans to move toward accomplishing that objective.

On the agenda for the 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, meeting, at the city offices in City Marketplace:

1. Resolution approving the Neighborhood Stabilization Plan abbreviated action plan
2. Resolution amending the Local Housing Assistance Plan
3. Resolution amending a policy relation to the employment of small and minority businesses for use in administering Community Development Block Grant programs and projects

There are two written items on the agenda. First, a resolution approving a price agreement with Palm Coast Ford for various automotive parts, supplies and filters.

Second, a resolution approving piggybacking the Advanced Laboratories and Volusia County contract to provide laboratory services for the utility department.

The public is welcome to attend the workshop, but there are no public comments allowed until the business meeting one week later, before any votes are cast by the City Council.

For more coverage of the workshop, check back on Tuesday.
