A woman resisting arrest allegedly attempted to bite a deputy, according to a charging affidavit released by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived at a residence on Briarwood Street in Bunnell on the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 5, to service a warrant for 31-year-old Angelena Fay Smith, who violated her drug probation.

After telling deputies her name was Katerina Jacobs, she was eventually identified by a witness who lived at the residence, her previous inmate photographs and by previous law enforcement interactions.

Deputies struggled to get handcuffs on Smith. Once out of the residence, she attempted to bite one of the deputies, according to the affidavit.

She was placed under arrest and taken to the Flagler County Jail.

The incident was recorded on the deputy’s mobile camera and was uploaded to evidence.com.
