After being notified that a stolen vehicle had fled from Daytona Beach, Flagler County sheriff's deputies and Flagler Beach police officers spotted the car on State Road A1A on Sept. 9.

The driver, Rebecca Puhr, was refused to stop, and a stop-stick was deployed to force her to stop. She told deputies she had been heading to the hospital.

Her criminal history dates back to 2006 in multiple counties, including Flagler.

"I am proud of everyone who was involved with apprehending this criminal and that no one got hurt," Sheriff Rick Staly said.

Puhr is being charged with Reckless Driving, Grand Theft Motor Vehicle, Failure to Obey Police, Fleeing with Disregard of Safety to Persons/Property, Resisting an Officer without Violence, and Failure to Register Motor Vehicle. She is being held on a $7,000 bond at the Flagler County jail.
