A woman was walking her dog on Colleen Court in Palm Coast the morning of Feb. 20 when a cat attacked her and her dog.

The woman, 66, told a Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputy that she'd been walking her schnauzer when she heard a hissing sound behind her, according to the deputy's report.

"[The woman] advised there was a black cat stalking her and proceeded to 'pounce' on her dog," the deputy wrote in a case report. "[The victim] advised as she attempted to kick the cat away from her schnauzer dog, the cat proceeded to jump on her and bite her on her left forearm."

The woman had a minor puncture wound on her arm, according to the deputy's report. She declined medical attention, saying she'd visit her doctor, and told the deputy she'd only contacted law enforcement so they could try to find the cat.

The dog was not hurt.

The deputy checked the area but could not find the cat.
