Woman, 19, found dead at Mondex home after reports of shots fired

Deputies are investigating the death of Caitlyn Ryone at 4664 Mahogany Blvd.

Deputies investigating a call about shots fired arrived at a western Flagler County home and found 19-year-old Caitlin Ryone dead Aug. 11.

At this point, deputies do not suspect foul play, but the investigation is continuing, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

"The investigation is in the very early stages," the release stated.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office got a call about shots fired at about 2:02 p.m. 

Deputies found Ryone dead of “an apparent gunshot wound” at a home at 4664 Mahogany Blvd. in the Daytona North area, also called the Mondex. 

They are conducting a death investigation, and an autopsy was held the morning of Aug. 12.
