Almost like magic, anyone wearing their favorite Harry Potter gear to Palm Coast’s public pool, the Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool, 339 Parkview Drive, will be admitted free on Harry Potter Day 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15.
Harry Potter Day is one in a series of 2013 Pack the Pool Days being offered by Palm Coast Parks & Recreation Department.
Other special events at the pool this season include:
Tuesday, June 18 – World’s Largest Swimming Lesson, 11 a.m.
Friday, June 28 – Dive-In Movie; gate opens at 7:45 p.m.; movie starts at 8:15 p.m. Admission is $1.
Saturday, June 29 – Pack the Pool Social Media Day, open 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. “Like” city of Palm Coast (Official) on Facebook and get in free.
Thursday, July 4 – Pack the Pool Patriotic Day, open 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Show patriotism by wearing red, white or blue and get in for $1.
Saturday, July 27 – Celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month with $1 admission, open 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
In addition, swim lessons are now available at the pool, with two-week sessions beginning in June and July. Many levels are offered, and morning and evening classes are available. Prices range from $45 to $55 depending on the session.
Now through Sept. 2, Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool is open 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a paying adult at least 18 years of age.
Daily admission is $4 adults; $3 youth 2-17; $3 seniors 65 and older; and free for under 2. Two hours prior to close, twilight fees drop to $2 adults; $1.50 youth 2-17 and seniors 65 and older. Seasonal and quarterly memberships are also offered.
