This Weekend: Arts and Crafts Festival in Flagler Beach

Flagler Beach will host its inaugural Flagler Beach Arts & Crafts Festival 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 1, and Sunday, Sept. 2, in Veterans Park.

Local artists will display and sell paintings, photography, jewelry and one-of-a-kind creations.

Other event happening are ...
Bowling for Vets — 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Coquina Lanes, 11 Old Kings Road. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Proceeds benefit wounded veterans through Brave-Aid Inc., a wounded veterans assistance fund.

Global Missions 5K Run/Walk — 8 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Parkview Baptist Church, 5435 Belle Terre Parkway. Helps missionary teams from Parkview Baptist Church visit third-world countries and raise awareness for health and exercise in our community. There will also be a Kidz Fun Run at 9 a.m. Advance registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a T-shirt. Cost is $25 before Aug. 31 and $30 after Aug. 31 for the 5K Walk/Run and $10 for the Kidz Fun Run. Register online at www.parkviewlife.com or call 904-316-4629.

Labor Day Picnic — Noon to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at the Palm Coast VFW, 47 Old Kings Road. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, salads, etc. Tickets are $10 in advance or $11 at the door. Call 446-8696.
