WARNING: Atlantic Ocean breaches sand dunes at Mala Compra Park

The county is urging everyone to seek shelter as soon as possible.

The Atlantic Ocean breached the sand dunes at Mala Compra Road Beachfront Park, located at 79 Mala Compra Road in Palm Coast, at around 12:40 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, according to a post on Flagler County's Twitter account.

In addition, the city of Palm Coast announced a tornado warning for the Palm Coast area around noon.

The county is urging everyone to seek shelter as soon as possible as Hurricane Irma punches its way through southwest Florida.
