Update from Barkwood Lane: Apparent murder-suicide

A couple was found dead in Palm Coast around 4:41 p.m. Sunday, March 20, after neighbors called the police.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identities of two bodies found dead at 21 Barkwood Lane: David Sharp, 52, and Terry Sharp, 54.

They were found in their home around 4:41 p.m. Sunday, March 20, by neighbors who called deputies to the scene. Both suffered gunshot wounds, and a shotgun was recovered at the scene. Deputies are attempting to determine when the incident occurred.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has been called in to process the scene. The Medical Examiner’s Office has been notified.

According to Debra Johnson, spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office, the FDLE was at the scene as of 8:20 p.m. and will process the scene over the next five to six hours.
