UPDATE: Autopsies reveal couple died Saturday

A Palm Coast man and wife, who were found dead in their home Sunday by neighbors, died about 24 hours earlier, according to the report released by the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Autopsies were completed Tuesday on David and Terry Sharp, of 21 Barkwood Lane. Flagler County Sheriff’s detectives have classified the incident as a murder-suicide, although the case remains open pending toxicology test results.

The medical examiner found that Terry Sharp died from two gunshots wounds — one in the chest and one in the head. David Sharp died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The time of death has been placed at 5-5:30 p.m. Saturday.
