A 39-year-old mother was hospitalized July 19 after what deputies believe was an alcohol-related near-drowning in the pool of a Cinnamon Beach Lane home she had rented for a family vacation.

An earlier story reporting Holley Weizer's drowning, based on a Flagler County Sheriff's Office report, was incorrect.

When rescuers arrived at the home, Holly Weizer’s 15-year-old son and a neighbor were giving her CPR, according to a deputy’s report. She had no pulse and was not breathing, but rescuers later revived her at Florida Hospital Flagler.

Her son told deputies that his mother had “appeared intoxicated,” and that “he felt she should come out of the pool due to her condition,” according to a deputy’s report.

She had been swimming with other family members, who told deputies she “was acting weird and appeared to be sleepwalking.”

When they saw her submerged in the pool, they began screaming.

Her son, who had gone inside to play video games, heard the yelling and ran outside. He and a friend pulled Weizer out of the pool and began CPR, and the son ran to get a neighbor to help.

Weizer has since been transferred to Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, according to a Florida Hospital Flagler spokeswoman.
