More than 30 elected officials in the county will hold a two-day economic summit starting at 1 p.m. Friday, March 4 and then again on Saturday, March 5. A potential third day is scheduled for March 18.
The summit will be held at the Flagler County Association of Realtors building, off State Road 100, and will be facilitated by Don Upton, of Fairfield Index Inc.
The facilitator’s fee to the county for two days will be about $14,000, according to County Administrator Craig Coffey, and will increase to about $22,000 should officials go for the third day.
Each municipality will choose two citizen representatives. The Palm Coast City Council has extended invitations. Anyone interested in representing the county may e-mail a one-page letter of interest to [email protected], by 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28.
