Florida Hospital Flagler had its seventh-annual “State of the Hospital” address on Wednesday, April 4, which was attended by nearly 150 members of the community, according to a news release.
During the event, the FHF Foundation displayed some of the equipment that was recently purchased by the hospital, including an IV Pole and GlideScope, a tool in the emergency room department that is used for intubating the airway, and a vein visualization system, which helps to locate a patient’s best vein to improve first-stick success and reduce pain. In addition, the foundation showcased developmental toys that were donated to help children at the Freytag Children’s Rehabilitation Center. The equipment was purchased with donated money.
FHF CEO Dr. Ron Jimenez, Chief Nursing Officer Kathy Gover and several physicians discussed the hospital’s continued advancements and its connection with the community.
"The common theme between all of them was their dedication of great quality health care in Flagler County," FHF Foundation Executive Director John Subers said.
The event was sponsored by the FHF Foundation’s 20/20 Society, a group of supporters with the shared vision of “providing quality, state-of-the-art health care and community wellness to Flagler County.”
"The hospital is here to take care of the health care needs of our community," Subers said. "We want the services we have to match the growth of our community."
