The suspect, who threatened to pistol-whip the liquor store owner, is still on the loose, as of July 7.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call July 6, at Star Liquors, in reference to a robbery.

The suspect was described as a white male in his early 20s; 5 feet, 11 inches tall; 160 pounds; with sandy blond hair. He wore glasses, blue jeans and a green long-sleeve shirt.

According to the owner of the store, the man entered at 8:30 p.m. July 6. The store is located at 800 Belle Terre Parkway.

After about five minutes, the suspect walked out and waited for all the customers to leave. When the store was clear, the man walked to the counter with a bottle of liquor

The owner asked for the man’s ID. When the man reached into his pocket, however, he pulled out a gun instead and demanded the owner’s money, threatening to pistol-whip the owner if he didn’t comply.

The owner handed over $200 and was instructed to lie on the floor while the suspect fled on foot.

Employees from Mezzaluna’s Pizza observed a man who fit the description leave the parking lot in a Ford Explorer alone.

No one was injured in the incident. Partial prints were lifted and are being analyzed.
