One Palm Coast man was arrested on stalking charges Sunday, leading to the arrest of another on possession of marijuana charges.

The incident started Feb. 11, when Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies were on their way to a residence on Crabtree Court in response to a call about potential narcotics use when one officer conducted a traffic stop on a white pickup truck that was seen leaving the area.

The driver identified himself as Travis Camic, who said he made an anonymous phone call to dispatch about narcotics activity in the residence of Crystal Fournier. Camic admitted he was having relationship issues with Fournier, and the deputy wrote in a charging affidavit that “it appeared that (Camic) was trying to use law enforcement … due to the argument.”

During the traffic stop, the deputy discovered that Camic had been trespassed from Fournier’s home on Jan. 28. The deputy warned Camic about going onto Fournier’s property without permission. He and other deputies then responded to the narcotics complaint, but found nothing.

Then, on March 10, deputies were on their way to the Crabtree Court residence on another complaint of possible dealing or use of narcotics in the garage of the residence when a deputy saw Camic walking south on Columbia Lane toward his truck, which was parked within a short walking distance of Fournier’s home, according to police reports.

Camic gave the deputy permission to search his cell phone. On it, the deputy located several photos that were taken through the window at the very top of the exterior garage door.

The deputy also located a video on the phone that was approximately 57 seconds long, depicting subjects inside the garage door through the same window.  Also on the phone were several text messages to Fournier saying that he could see her and the people inside the residence.

Fournier later told deputies that she was in fear of Camic because he had been sending her disturbing messages about watching her. Camic was charged with stalking.

At the same time, deputies investigated the narcotics complaint. Upon arrival on the scene, a deputy heard coughing coming from the garage. The deputy made contact with Fournier and a man, Frank Quarterman, a guest at the residence.

The deputy asked if he could look in the garage. Upon entering, the deputy smelled burned cannabis and observed a cloud of smoke inside the garage. After searching Quarterman’s backpack, the deputy found a plastic baggie with cannabis residue in it, as well as a yellow grinder, a glass pipe and a digital scale.

The deputy located 29 grams of marijuana, which was packaged in a manner that suggested it was for sale and distribution. He also found a safe, which was identified as Quarterman’s. The deputy asked Quarterman to unlock the safe. Quarterman complied, and inside, the deputy found four clear baggies containing cannabis seeds.

Quarterman was placed under arrest and booked into the Flagler County Inmate Facility on $1,000 bail.
